FEMpowered. session 2 with guest artists

This Saturday our Guest Artist Kaitlyn “KDUBBS” Williams will be offering Vocal Lessons.

KDUBBS is an award winning singer and songwriter from Denver, CO. She is a classically trained musician having graduated from the highly renowned Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. Kaitlyn was a Jazz Studies major with a concentration in voice and previously was under the tutelage of Teresa Kubiak, world-renowned Metropolitan Opera star. She has performed alongside artists including Bobby McFerrin, Kurt Elling, John Clayton, Darmon Meader, Kate McGarry, Sunny Wilkinson, and Janis Siegel of The Manhattan Transfer. Recently, Kaitlyn was awarded the 2017 Collegiate Vocal Jazz Soloist Winner from Downbeat Magazine. She was also a member of the Downbeat Award Winning Collegiate Vocal Jazz Ensemble, Vocal Jazz Ensemble I for two years at the Jacobs School of Music.

Additionally we will be offering Lessons for Ableton and Guitar.

Songwriting 101

Our workshop of the day will be on Songwriting. We will dive into traditional formats of writing songs and find creative ways to tell our stories.
