I teach at Youth on Record because of these young souls,

they have knowledge and experiences that often go untold.

I teach at Youth on Record because of the people around me,

You see the students and the staff have become my family.

I teach because we all need a reminder of hope,

and pens have become an alternative to selling dope.

I teach at Youth on Record because what many people don't know

is that acting out in class and in life are indications of trauma and pain hidden below.

I teach at Youth on Record because transformation is real,

I can stand in testimony and say I have seen music heal.

I teach at Youth on Record but to be honest my students teach me,

each day in life a new lesson in reminding me that in life there are no boundaries. Peace.

I am an instructor and a teacher at Youth on Record but really my students are the gems, they teach me every single day about resilience and about beauty in life and what really matters.
