Music Matters March (and Year-Round!) at Youth on Record

With 60+ ways to give, there's an opportunity for everyone to get involved in our Music Matters March campaign!

Every March, Youth on Record partners with dozens of amazing local businesses, venues, and artists to raise funds and awareness of Youth on Record’s creative youth development programs. Thanks to this month of support, we’re able to continue providing programs to young artists for FREE (or with a stipend!), ensuring access for a broad range of youth.

Here are a few ways to invest in young artists before March 31st:

Attend our closing celebration concert on March 27th 🎶

We’re hosting a special concert Thursday, March 27th 6-9pm at the Roxy on South Broadway, featuring performances from: Keddjra (a current YOR Fellow!), Mango Slushy (a YOR Fellowship alum!), and Nina de Freitas (one of our favorite local artists!).

Tickets are donation-based and any amount will get you on the list. Reserve yours today.

Bid on our Silent Auction 🤘

Check out our Silent Auction, including: local beer and coffee packages, artist merch, tickets to Red Rocks, a VIP package for the sold-out KALEO show in May, and more! You can easily register here to bid through April 1st.

Donate through our Battle of the Bands competition 🎸

New this year! Six local bands are battling it out to see who is the most impactful band in Denver – all by raising money for Youth on Record. Check out the bands and donate through your favorite here

We’re proud to be in partnership with our friends at Live Nation, Ratio Beerworks, Illegal Pete’s, Novo Coffee, The Clue Room, and many more. Take a look at who to visit this month – part of your food order, drink order, or ticket order could be benefiting Youth on Record!

We know that Music Matters – and our program participants confirm it every day:

  • The Youth on Record Fellowship gave me the greatest sense of community and belonging. I have gone through my whole life not knowing where I fit or whether or not my music mattered. Thanks to the Fellowship, I was able to find my tribe. I am eternally grateful for the memories and lifelong friends I have made through this program. It also encouraged me to truly pursue my goals not only for music, but in all other facets of my life.” – Mckey, YOR Fellow

  • "Your socks will be blown off at the Fellowship Showcase. You might see tears from me but it’s because I’m proud of myself and my new friends I was able to make at Youth on Record." - Jaren Jackson, YOR Fellow

  • “The YOR camp was an amazing experience for my son that I could not have afforded. One of my favorite parts of camp was the connection I felt with my son when he came home and taught me notes or chords that we could play together as a duet. The YOR camp was 100% positive and my son cannot wait to attend again next summer!” – 2024 Music Summer Camp Parent

We are so grateful for our community of supporters who see the value in music and media education for a rising generation of artists. Thank you for making the 7th annual Music Matters March the best one yet – and continuing your support of young creatives year round.
