Ken Arkind
Ken Arkind is an American National Poetry Slam Champion, Tedx Speaker, Nuyorican Poets Cafe Grand Slam Champion and published author who has performed his work in 49 States, 6 countries and at over 200 colleges and universities.
He has been appeared on HBO, The Huffington Post, Time Out: Sydney, the Scottish Poetry Library and has shared stages with Amy Goodman, Gil Scott Heron, former United States Poet Laureate Philip Levine and Pulitzer Prize Winner Yusef Komunyaka.
Ken is the founding Program Director of Denver Minor Disturbance, an independent literary arts organization dedicated to helping Colorado youth find voice through the mediums of poetry and performance and home to the 2013/2014 BNV international Youth Poetry Slam Champions.He is the author of Denver (Fast Geek Press, 2013), Coyotes (Penmanship Books, 2014) and works as the poetry editor for Suspect Press
