Darlene D’Agostino Beck has worked in the Denver music industry for close to 20 years in various capacities. Upon moving to Denver in 2001 from Cincinnati, Ohio, she lucked into a bar-staff job at the Fillmore Auditorium. From there she rose to general manager Rob Thomas’ personal assistant. Rob, also
the manager of DeVotchka, quickly directed her organizational and project-management talents toward the band. In 2008, Darlene ventured with Rob to AEG Rocky Mountains to help organize Mile High Music Festival. In 2010, she joined the AEG marketing staff, and in 2016 accepted the director of marketing
position with Z2 Entertainment in Boulder. Currently, Darlene is taking time off to focus on self-care and her family: husband Matt Beck, rescue dog Buddy, and rescue cat Disco. She enjoys cooking, yoga and self-study in personal growth, photography and travel. She is excited to apply her industry knowledge to
Youth on Record, and is particularly moved by the organization’s advocacy on behalf of at-risk youth.
