Lucy Richardson is an Associate Producer for the Media Arts Department at Youth on Record, where she blends her passion for audio production, storytelling, and community engagement. A graduate of the University of Denver (DU), Lucy earned a degree in Psychology and Journalism Studies with minors in Biology and Cognitive Neuroscience. Originally from Atlanta, Lucy moved to Denver in 2019 to pursue her studies, bringing with her a deep appreciation for the sense of community that music — especially live music — creates.

Lucy’s career in media began in DU’s film department, but she quickly shifted focus to audio production, drawn to the vibrant world of podcasting and radio. Her love for music has always been at the heart of her work, especially within the rock and indie music scenes she grew up around. Lucy is passionate about the way music brings people together, creating spaces where connection and expression thrive. This drive has fueled her involvement in numerous projects, including EARWORM: Denver’s Local MusicHear, Alla, PresentéRocky Mountain Reverb, and Pop Culture Vultures.

In addition to her podcasting work, Lucy served as the Audio Content Manager for Inside Wire: Colorado Prison Radio — now Colorado Radio for Justice — where she helped create impactful, community-centered radio programming. Her belief in the power of music and media led her to Youth on Record, where she’s part of a team that supports young creators and amplifies their stories.

Lucy is also a writer and editor for Colorado Media Group, a print media firm based in Colorado Springs, where she contributes to NORTH and The Business Digest, publications dedicated to local business and lifestyle.

Whether she’s producing content, attending a live show, or exploring the intersections of community and creativity, Lucy is driven by a deep love for the power of music and media to create meaningful connections.
