Andrea brings nearly 20 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, having focused on youth development, mentoring, volunteer management, special events, marketing and fundraising. She also brings 10+ years in marketing, and project management. She believes in building strategic partnerships and working together creatively. She loves building new relationships! 

Andrea brings creativity to her position and thinks outside of the box. She has worked in and out of the local music industry for the past 14 years and been involved as a fan for the past 24 years. In 2018 she launched the Music Ambassador program for Youth on Record. The Music Ambassador program encourages creative philanthropy. She truly believes that every single person can make a difference whether it's time, talent or $10 to give. 

Andrea is also committed to advancing the next generation of professionals, and a key part to this process is mentorship.

Andrea was born and raised in Arvada, CO. She now lives in Denver, CO with her husband Chris Murphy, and her little Chihuahua, Myriah Joy Murphy.

• On August 25th, 2023  - Ceverceria Colorado featured Andrea as one of their Bridge Builders which features people in our communities who are doing work to promote culture, support people, and lift up those around them to make our world a better place.  
• June 2023 - Andrea graduated from Leadership Lab (formally Women of Influence and Impact Leadership Program), through the Colorado Women's Chamber of Commerce. She also is a co-author of a white paper on Pay Equity
• In October of 2022, Andrea was accepted into the Women of Influence and Impact Leadership Program through the Colorado Women's Chamber of Commerce.
• In March of 2022, KUVO featured Andrea in honor of Women's History Month
• In August of 2017, Andrea was appointed to the Denver Music Advisory Panel through Denver Arts and Venues. 
• In 2020, Andrea was accepted into the American Express Women in Music Leadership Academy and completed this in January 2021, and continues to engage with alumni. 
• In January 2019, Andrea joined the Events Committee for Mile High Young Professionals and was the co-chair Table of 10 for 2 years. She co-chaired for the Rocky Mountain Young Professionals Summit in November 2019. 

Andrea has been involved in the local music scene for 20 years from a Fan, to booking/promoting shows, marketing/PR, music festivals and more.

Prior to joining the Youth on Record staff, Andrea served as a Board Member from 2010-2011 and as the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors from 2011-2013.
