Bruce Trujillo

Band Shirt of the Week was created by Bruce Trujillo in 2017 to showcase a different band each week through artist merch. The featured shirts vary from new, local acts, to well known, world renown acts, all of varying genres and sounds. As the feature on Instagram grew, Trujillo incorporated a donation to an organization or cause of the artist's choosing or alignment, first at $10, then at least $25 per feature. By the 6th year of Band Shirt of the Week, Trujillo collected over 400 shirts, featured over 300 unique bands, 150 organizations, and has donated over $3000 to those serving community, or mutual aid efforts. Youth On Record is a favorite among local artists to support, and is the organization with the most donations made for Band Shirt of the Week.
