The Podcast Production Internship serves a small cohort of youth (ages 18-24), focusing on developing and deepening skills in audio production, storytelling, creative writing, interviewing, and project management through a critical lens. Interns will receive technical training, professional development, and the chance to produce original audio pieces featured on the award-winning podcast, Youth on Rewind (We strongly encourage you listen to an episode before applying).
The internship includes 6 hours per week of in-studio work at Youth on Record and 2-4 hours per week of asynchronous work. Interns will be expected to meet regular deadlines for their projects and participate in workshops and seminars at our Youth Media Studio (and virtually as needed). Upon completing this internship, interns will have a portfolio of original audio recordings and the skills to produce original pieces.
Eligibility: Open to young creatives, ages 18-24
Compensation: $2,000 stipend (paid in three installments)
Time Commitment: 8–10 hrs per week
In-Person Hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9 am–12 pm (required)
