Fatimah Ben-Masaud is the Deputy Director of Boards & Commissions in the Denver Mayor’s Office. Driven by social justice and liberation, her North Star pulls her into a career of service so that communities may feel connected and seen. She is responsible for advising and leading inclusive strategies that connect Denverites to the opportunity to serve on one of the 120+ dynamic boards and commissions as a Mayoral Appointee. Before joining Mayor Johnston's Administration, she had a rich career in higher education, K12, and edtech leading teams and programs focused on solving for the aspiration and opportunity gap for all students. She worked with school systems locally and nationally to implement meaningful college and career readiness programs, social emotional learning curricula, and culturally responsive learning and teaching practices.
She is inspired by the transformative power of creative self expression and is excited to support the magic of Youth on Record! She loves to learn about what inspires you, what delicious food cravings you’re chasing, and what you’re currently listening to, reading, or watching!
