Daniel Mercado is a Product Owner with Bank Of America’s Cybersecurity Team. His career has spanned organizations and various roles in the technology field; everything from entertainment to financial services. Born and raised in Los Angeles, and the son of immigrants, he spent much of his extra time serving as a mentor to youth in various stages, like high school and undergraduate programs providing guidance and advice and on how to navigate educational programs, academic institutions and targeting career paths to those who may have not have had access otherwise. He is driven by giving back to his community, by empowering people to grow to become their best selves. 

He’s a lifelong music fan and has a playlist for most moods. He dabbles in photography and some live performances. He’s played in bands and when he can still tries to pick up his guitar every so often. He’s inspired by the power of creativity to create community. Serving on Youth on Record’s board has given him the ability to combine two of his passions, helping those who are looking to find their best way forward as well as the arts.
